The following photos were taken during one long day that I spent in Havana. I shot over 600 pictures. These are some of the best. The one above was taken as I left the hotel in the morning. They are small motorized scooters called "bananas."

Walking around there are all these old cars. I was told that only the bodies are old. the innards have long since been replaced with homegrown parts. I call this picture "Green Wagon"

The city is really in a time warp. It is not an old city, it's just that it stopped at some time in the past and nothing new was added.

Everyone was after a dollar, at least in the tourist areas. As I was walking, this guy was backpedaling in front of me scribbling furiously. He got his dollar.

Wherever you walked there were people standing around. There were small renovations going on all over, although I didn't actually see anyone working.

Fiona and I went on a government sponsored tour. We stopped at this park that had 4 of these magnificent banyan trees. The picture fails to do it justice.

This is the Department of Defense building. ¡Viva La Revolution!

Can you name the make and year of these cars? It wasn't a parade. Just an everyday sight.

2 Working Men?? Actually, yes. They are working for the government. They charge $1 to take their photo. The money they make goes to the government. I can't imagine the processes by which that happens.
